Court Court The Wickenburg Municipal Court is part of the integrated judicial system and serves as the judicial branch of the Wickenburg Municipal Government. The Court has jurisdiction over civil traffic, criminal traffic, town code violations and misdemeanor cases that occur within the Town of Wickenburg. Guadalupe Teen Court celebrates two successful years On Thursday, February 9th, Guadalupe Teen Court celebrated the two year anniversary of this program to recognize their accomplishments throughout the year. What is Teen Court? At the celebration event, GTC member Juju Roman, explained that Guadalupe Teen Court members are teen volunteers who train to serve in the roles of peer jurors, lawyers, bailiffs, clerks, and judges in adjudicating cases of juveniles who have committed an offense eligible for diversion and to implement restorative justice. The members meet every Wednesday at the Guadalupe Branch Library and also learn constitutional law, civic engagement, community leadership, and workforce development skills.

AZ TEEN COURT ASSOCIATION
Purpose Teen Court provides an alternative means of dispensing justice to selected juveniles charged with delinquent offenses. The program is open only to juveniles seventeen or under - usually first time offenders - who have committed a selected misdemeanor crime, status offense or traffic violation. Process Teen Court is patterned after a traditional adult courtroom. An actual juvenile defendant eligible for the program must acknowledge responsibility for the offense and is directed to appear in Teen Court for sentencing.
A reform movement concerned with the treatment of dependent and delinquent youth, which had been sweeping the country during the late 18th century, led the creation of the first modern juvenile court in Illinois in He and his assistant, Janice Hays, were responsible for probation services for all adult and juvenile offenders in the entire county, which included what is now La Paz County.
